Dear Gabe,

The party was a blast. Wish you could have been there. It was about 98 degrees, and the music was nice and loud, just like it should be. Some people plugged their ears– they were loving it so much it hurt. Some of us made fools of ourselves, but heck, it was a party. Your mom would’ve done the same.
Your cousin Rachel was the MC, and she was awesome. At one point she read aloud part of your post on thinking about bionic knees, and trying to stay positive. I looked around and wondered if I should hand out some Kleenex.
We had seven cake walks and people and their dogs were doing these interesting dance moves, hoping it would help them win.
Then came the raffle–Mike and Karen won the first prize, a Secret Cat show. They were thrilled, and asked if the show came with a supply of ear plugs.
As we were cleaning up after the party, neighbors kept showing up with cash. People are really touched and inspired by your story and how courageous and wise you are.
Hey, once you are settled in Sonoma County you have to come to SF with us to the Rock/Make Festival. Secret Cat opens the festival, and it will be a blast (to your ear drums!)

Gabe……your OUT of rehab! š Yeah! Excellent! And your still planing to come to northern California…….things look like they are going good so far.

You shoulda bin there. It was one of Melinda’s CLASSIC, perfect parties. She and her girls had it goin’ on.
